My journey began in the late summer of 1980. I was 19 years old, just six days into my marriage, when everything changed. We were hit head-on by a drunk driver. My wife was killed. Somehow, I survived.
In the aftermath, I disappeared into drugs and alcohol. Pain became the only thing I could still feel and I chased it. I put myself in danger repeatedly, not caring about the outcome. Yet something kept pulling me back from the very edge. I kept surviving.
Years later, when my second wife became pregnant, I knew something had to change. I couldn’t become a father in that broken state. I tried counseling and therapy, but they only offered medication for the symptoms. Thirty minutes in, and they’d scribble out a prescription. Drugs, again? They weren’t listening.
Then, something unexpected happened. Hypnosis found me.
I was in Las Vegas when a man approached and said, “Hey, would you like to be hypnotized? Looks like you could use a change.” I replied, half-joking but completely serious: “Can you take away these waves of despair that hit me, I want to die, or someone around me is about to?”
Looking back, I believe he really saw the pain I’d been hiding. Instead of jumping into hypnosis, he asked if I was hungry. We talked for two hours before he even said a word about hypnosis. Then he hypnotized me, I remember I never felt so relaxed and just peaceful. He also taught me how to use self-hypnosis.
Before I left, he told me: “You’re going to feel better every day from this moment on.” And I have every time I think of this moment.
Since that day, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others find relief, peace, and healing, just like I did.
Today, I’m a certified hypnotherapist, backed by credentials including:
* Certified Hypnotist with the International Certification Board of Coaches and Hypnotists (ICBCH)
* Certified in Neo-Ericksonian Hypnosis (MMH)
* Member of the International Hypnosis Association (IHA)
* Registered Hypnotherapist with the State of Washington
* NLP Certified Practitioner
I’ve been a successful business owner and have worked in healthcare, but my true calling is this work, to be the one person who sees you, just like that individual in Vegas saw me. Can you use a change? Allow me to be that individual for you.
